UK WATCH: THE £2.20 "LIQUID TAX" 🇬🇧

On February 10, HMRC issued a final warning: The Vaping Products Duty is coming in April 2026, and it’s a flat-rate bloodbath.

• The Rate: A flat £2.20 per 10ml of liquid.
• The "Shortfill" Nightmare: This tax hits 0mg nicotine "shortfills" just as hard as nic-salts.
• The Math: A standard 100ml bottle that costs £15 today could see a 200% price hike, landing over £40 after duty and VAT.

The UK is trying to kill "high-volume, low-cost" vaping. If you’re a cloud chaser, your hobby is about to get as expensive as a smoking habit. Again, this is just par for the course with the current Labour party.

Everything costs more. Old people are freezing to death. And nothing works. Oh, and then there's the whole Mandelson thing...

THE "REGISTRY" TREND: SHUTTING THE GATES 🏛️

The US is moving away from broad bans and toward Vape Registries—basically a "permission to play" list.

• South Carolina: On Feb 10, the legislature passed a PMTA registry bill. If a product isn't specifically authorized by the FDA, it’s banned from state shelves. Period.
• New York: Not to be outdone, NY is considering a similar registry plus a secondary tax.

The Goal: To give local law enforcement a clear "Yes/No" list. If it's not on the registry, it’s illegal, making enforcement against Chinese disposables much easier.
