Y'all know I'm a big fan of PuffCo. In the last email we went over the teams' picks for the best e-rig in its range right now.

Today, we're doing a deep-dive on the PuffCo Peak Pro 3DXL, the upgrade to the all-conquering Peak Pro.

The main question I want to answer is this: Is the 3DXL worth an extra $120 or are you just gonna be better off with the standard (and still excellent) Peak Pro.

Here's How I See It (Based On Owning & Using Both)

The PuffCo Peak Pro is a badass setup. Everybody knows this. Next to my Mighty+, I think it is probably my most-prized (weed-based) possession.

I’ve owned one since it first dropped and in all the time I’ve been using it (around 2.5 years) I’ve never thought, I wish this was better.

Whether you’re advanced or a beginner, it is one of the best e-rigs on the market right now. Period.

But the PuffCo Peak Pro 3DXL is the better overall rig if we’re talking about things like performance and features:

• It has better airflow control.
• The heating element is more advanced, gives way more control
• It delivers around 2x the vapor output of the Peak Pro.

These are big differences. But are they worth an additional $120? That I cannot answer for you.

If funds allow, the 3DXL is obviously the one to go with; newer isn't always better but in this case PuffCo has made enough changes to make the new model stand out.

The Freakin' Vapor Production is Monstrous!

For me, it's the vapor and the heating element that make the biggest difference. It kicks out so much more vapor than the Peak Pro.

PuffCo says it'll do 2x more. It feels more like 5x, to be frank. It took me by surprise the first time I properly cranked it.

If you want the absolute best that PuffCo has to offer right now, go with the PuffCo Peak 3DXL. It’s the iPhone Pro Max of the range.

It’s expensive but it is damn impressive. Your friends will love you, and your solo sessions will never be the same again.

If you’re OK with the basics and rock-solid performance? Get the PuffCo Peak Pro, it’s $120 cheaper and still one of the best e-rigs on the market.

And honestly, for dabbing, whether you're a veteran or beginner, either of these (as well as the Proxy) are probably the only options worth looking at right now for ease of use and overall reliability.
